We confidently predict that if followed correctly, FGW, will increase the harvest of the small subsistence farmers by as much as 20-fold.
September 2018 trials were held in the Kitui area of Kenya, the results are clearly seen on the pictures.
In March 2019, three teaching courses were held in three different locations. Over 100 people attended by invitation, some traveling as much as 250 miles. Their travel, food and accommodation expenses were met by Source of Hope.
At the end of the course each person was given all that was needed to grow to grow 1/6thof an acre of maize. If you watch the video you will see this will provide enough maize to feed a family of 6 for a year.
Many of these families have grown 2 acres or more in the past, and still were not able to provide enough food for their families! Plans for 2020 will be that the people who have been taught the principles of FGW will then, with our support, be able to pass the teaching on to the communities around them.
This teaching program and providing each family with all that is needed to grow their maize to feed them for a year comes to £50. Thank you for the support we have received, if you are able to help in this project we would be grateful. So far 40 families have been sponsored, for all the 100 participant’s we look forward to harvest time and as we look into the future we are excited at the results so far.

There is still have 60 families unsupported, and are intending to expand the course in October to encourage them to grow alternative crops in the lesser rain season useing the same principles of FGW, its exciting road we are traveling on, please join us.
