About the Project
Rosemary Wafula, the founder and Director of the children’s home began the project by taking in abandoned babies and young children from the streets.
When she had filled both hers and the homes of several friends, the Brydges Centre was born.
It has been a privilege to work with Rosemary and her team since 2014.
Growing Vegetables
The finance raised has made it possible to build poly tunnels to grow vegetables, to dig fishponds and stock them. This provides food for the table, even excess, which they can sell to provide funds.
Solar Pump for Water
The latest project was to install a solar pump when the old one stopped working. This provides 20,000 litres of water each day, plenty to meet all their needs. See our latest news.

Our Partners
We are partnering at the Brydges Centre with an American church which has been involved with them for over 20 years. Their task has been to improve both the living conditions and the standard of education for this rather large family.
Our aim has been to concentrate on improving their means of producing food for themselves and enough to sell to bring in much needed finance.
